I had been looking for a GSX14 for a while.
Got other toys so was defiantly at the bottom end of the market.
Bid on a few at auctions but never ended up with one.

Lad on another forum said "come look at mine"
I did, and we did a deal that I was quite happy with.

Bike had been crashed, but was straight and ran.

This is how it looked when I got it...

Clocks were smashed and the water had got into them,
Tank dented, general rash to the left hand side and had been stood a while.

The good news was it came with...
Yoshimura Cyclone full system.
PC111 that's been set up on a dyno.
P.A.I.R. removed and blanking plates fitted.
Pazzo levers.
Rack.
Top box.
Fork brace.
4 x mini LED indicators.
chunky "GSX" bar clamp.
Rad guard.
4 unused DNA pod filters

The red drag bars were very close to the tank and didn't suit me
so I fitted a pair of my favourite Renthal 789's

GSX1400's are great bikes but not the most sporty.
The previous owner and I both had issues with stuff touching down on corners,

So I bought a 30mm jack up kit (much to the owners clubs disgust)

A before and after should explain everything.....

Bike now sit's up nice at the rear,
I struggle to get the pegs down anymore,
and it steers a bit quicker / turns in sharper.

Normally I'd fit a 190/55 rear to a 6" rim, same as my Busa and King,
but I'm sticking to a 50 on this as it gets a little nervous at speed as it is.

As it now stands....

It's an on going project, but it'll never be anything outrageous.
My Busa and B-King are both registered as "single seat" (much cheaper tax/insurance)
so this will probably stay as a dual seat mile muncher, it has more grunt than the others
and takes luggage and has a decent tank range unlike the B-King.

The mileage wasn't high on it, but it has had a hard life.
I treated it to a new cam chain and a battery whilst it was serviced
and with a few other tweaks here and there is starting to feel good.

For those not familiar with the GSX14 ( I don't think the US got them ) they are only
about 100hp as stock although its easy to get 120 / 130 with pipe, PC111 etc but they
have enough torque to out grunt most other IL4's....

I'll just keep buying lotto tickets and dreaming of 1620cc / 160+hp conversions...

Untill I can afford the next stage of mods I'll keep busy putting the hours in
and polish up all the alloy, fork legs, engine cases etc and the Yoshi system....

3,500k's of tinkering and I'm done.
Played with front preload, rebound and compression, rear preload, compression and rebound.
Started with MCN suspension guide, various tyre pressures and with / without 30mm jack-up blocks.
Doubt I can improve further without spending $$'s and the rest of the bike doesn't justify that.
