It depends on how well they do it. I have seen some bikes that were clearly rattle-canned, and are all uneven and have drip marks on them and shit, and that's just no good! On the other hand, I've seen some streetfighters (and actually a LOT of choppers) painted (the right way) with flat black paint, and they looked very nice, and yea you're right, it does make the bike look "meaner." :fire:

It's kind of weird. I've always liked the look of custom choppers, ever since I was a kid. I don't mean some Harley with flames on it and a ton of chrome, but fully custom built crazy ass choppers with that really old school mean look to them. Flat black, simple pinstriping, some skulls and shit, just clean and mean looking. Now, I'm not as much into choppers anymore, but the style kind of stuck with me. I love seeing brand new bikes that are completely technologically advanced, but then rip most of the plastic off, rip off all the bs, streetfighter it out like hell, cover up that nice shiny new paint with some flat black, and have a really bad ass old-school styled new bike. Does that make any sense to anyone? LOL!

My whole ninja 'fighter is flat black, but I got creative and used a plastic specific chalkboard primer/paint and now the bike is great. A durable flat black finish, that I can draw on for shits and giggles.

I'm doin my fighter in flat black and flat grey. gonna do the forks, frame , engine and swingarm in flat black and the engine covers, tank, headlight, headlight mount and handlebars in a flat grey. I think that'll look hot.
