What is your worst riding habit?

I think mine would have to be paying too much attention to scenery and not enough to what I'm doing!

Leaving black strips around rochester and going threw 5 tires a season.
For me, speeding. But I think my worst habit is speeding through twisty backroads that have houses on them at 2-3 times the posted limit. And I do a lot of passing on my way to work(no matter the line on the road, if I think it's safe, I pass!)

I would say that my worst riding habit would be wheelies. I can't seem to go anywhere without atleast a few.

for me its the wheelies and doing whatever it takes to get infront of everyone else.
Posture was definitely a bad habit until I put the dirty bars on there. Now my weight is further back and the thing powerwhoolies like crazy... and that's on STOCK gearing, should be interesting when I throw the -1/+3 sprocks on there.

I always pay attention to what's infront of me, but I don't have mirrors and don't always check my blind spots before switching lanes if I 'know' what I just passed... bad habit.

that would totally be one of mine. but i am without wheelies:(. i guess im just to damn scared to drop my bike. i dont care about going down but i dont have the money to fix it if i did.
Leaving my bike laying in the middle of the road while I go test the quality of my leathers.

Wheelies and day dreaming or watching the scenery.
I think the only bad thing I really do is the death grip. I'm aware I do it though, so I'm constantly reminding myself to relax my hands. You'd think I'd learn by now.
Riding peoples ass when I can't pass, then having to intimidate my way out of a fight at the next stop. I guess me pissing people off in general is my worst habit, I hope I never get shot by one of those psychopaths.

Yep, that's a nerve thing like Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. It would be because you're pressing down on your wrists. I have a similar problem. I'm thinking about adding 3/4" or 1" risers under my superbike bars. I also picked up one of those throttle rocker things recently but put it on the clutch side to help support my wrist. It actually seems to help. I wish I didn't have these wrist issues...it's really annoying and painful.
Are you supporting yourself on your arms? My SS has a VERY aggressive stance, so I have to use my core to support me instead of my arms. The plus side is I get a great ab workout.
I've heard vibration can also make them go numb. Some suggestions I've seen for that cause of the problem are to fill the void inside of the bar under the grip with silicone and/or lead shot, or wearing gel palm gloves.
My worst habit is giving my attorney too much of my money to get me out of traffic tickets.....

Some of my weight is on my wrists, but it's really my left wrist that bothers me the most because of the clutch and the weight from leaning on it a bit. I have to wear braces all day at work because I have a repetitive stress issue with my wrists (not carpal tunnel syndrome, but similar).

Yeah, I have a Barsnake in my bars as well as heavy stainless bar ends. The Buell vibrates a LOT at lower rpms. It's not so bad once you get above 3000 rpm, though.
i stand up on my pegs and shake my butt to get my balls to stop sticking to my leg when i'm sweaty

My worst habbits would be:
1) Not gettin gmy upper body t hang off enough in the corners.
2) Nto gettin gon the gas hard enough or later than I shoudl comig nout of corners.
3) Not focusing enough and having my mind wander when I am doing 180 mph down the back straight. I actually caught myself thinking.

"Man this is a nice track, so many seats for fans. Nice job on the lawn care....... SHIT! BRAKE BRAKE BRAKE CORNER!!!!! SLIIIIIIIIIDE AH FUCK!

Brought my focus right back into play he he he

On the public road if I am not 100% focus I am dead here in China simple as that.

On the track I can actually relax and think about things if I want. Weird huh but CHina is Bizarro its 100% opposite of the reality you all live in.

I run red lights and take lefts in front of on coming traffic all day everyday. its normal here. Controlled Chaos
