Hi,

I am new to working with bikes and am trying to learn as much as possible. I notice a lot of people using a vfr swing arm for a 954. What is the reason for this? Is it just to lower the back end and look better.

Cheers

The VFR swing is single sided, a.k.a. SSSA opposed to the cbr swing being double sided, a.k.a DSSA.

Some like the look of the single sided swingarm.

Yes it is purely for the looks. It's an extra 15 pounds or so from what i remember. If you really really want to see your bike with an open side rear wheel go for it. If you dont want to risk ruining the 954s impeccable handling dont go for it

Yea some have the correct shock mount which makes it somewhat easy and some are the ass backwards kind that needs a lot of refuckulating to make it work. Make sure you get the right year stuff. I forget which years.
