Well I shot over my buddy's today and gave him a hand with a little fab work and putting the bike together..Its an '03 VTX 1300, and he bought a 240 kit for it piece by piece. Mounted up the new rear fender, did some adjusting and a little cutting to get the billet aluminum rear strut's mounted, mounted the brakes, threw in the drive shaft, cut the side covers to help fit the rear strut's better, threw on the new Progressive shocks in the rear, and put the exhaust back on with some new gaskets. Bike looks rear good, just gotta have everything shot with new paint and it'll be damn close to done. Heres some photos of the mod's and the new 240 kit from tonight..

What I'm doing is nothing comapared to that. My bike stock has a 160 rear so I'm putting on a 180. It's tricky since the stock rim doesn't support a 180. I wound up getting a wheel from a 95 GSXR1100 and a space kit that will make it fit.
I'm not mechanically inclined, so I hope it works well.

I know these pictures dont do much justice.. But 2 weeks ago we painted the front and rear fender's, tank, and both side covers a Candy Brandi Wine with 3 stage house of colorz paint. Finished up the custom NOS bottle tank brackets from billet aluminum. Heres a fiew pics just after wet sanding and after we recieved the custom front rim to match the rear.

This picture doesnt do much, when the sunlight hits it this color goes crazy!

NOS tank brackets, I gotta sand and buff them out more.

More pix will fallow tommorow night after its ALL finished

I have a pint of brandi wine paint in my dads basement :)

I looked at it and it was to......purpleish for me. That 240 looks almost stock on there, the big gas tank makes it not stand out so much

yo spyder those nitrouse mounts are pimped, you guys get those custom made
Yeah.. I drew up the design and my buddy Gary made them at work from 6061 aluminum, tapped the holes and put steel heli coils in them, with stainless hex head bolts and buffet them out quick.

We finished the bike tonight, the only thing left is to order the rake kit for it. Comes with the upper and lower tripples and fork tube extentions. Then get aother soloniod and hook it up for a perge that Ill be running out of the skull's nose holes on the intake :evilred:

Yeah theres just enough room for the perge to be there without hitting the rider.. It'll be right in front of your knee, about 4" out so were good.

The base coat was a metalic blue, and the top coat was a candy tangerine with lots of pearl in it. As soon as the sun light hits it, this thing does nuts and all those colors come out.. and way more
