Wtf no riding gear

Around here I rarely see anyone in gear. The Harley guys might have on a leather cut and boots but that's about it. As for the flip flip thing...what the hell? How do you shift? Doesn't it hurt?

nobody wears gear in my town. ppl look at ME weird cause i have all my gear on (leather jacket, field armor vest, gloves, kevlar pants with knee pads, and boots)

I wouldn't even think about getting on my bike without my minimum required gear, which is jeans, helmet, and gloves. When I first started riding, I didn't own a jacket, but within a few months, I got one, and since I keep my gloves and docs in that, that is also my min required. Always wear shoes, no open toes.

I just saw a bike go by and the guy had a sleeveless shirt and no gloves. It amazes me. See women on cruisers all the time in a tank top and no gloves. I just wouldn't feel safe dressed like that

Same squids out here. tank top and shorts. The best are the retired white guys with tank tops and short shorts that pull back in the wind showing off their bright white legs. Funny when they wear their moccasins.

Guilty....I rode down to bring my wife some flowers in a pair of shorts and Romeo shoes...

...but in my defense I did have my armored jacket, helmet and gloves on...


I get some crazy looks when I ride through town with a bunch of roses stickin out of my jacket

I see guys everyday riding with no gear at all. Shorts saddles tank top and they have these awesome helmet frame sliders. WTF is the point of owning a helmet if you're just going to hang it on the side of your bike?

Pulled a late night in the garage a while back tuning on the bike. Synching carbs and running the valves. Decided to take it for a test ride afterwards. It was extremely hot and.humid and I had been working in shorts and.no shirt. Was about midnight, zero traffic around here, so I just grabbed my helmet and a tshirt. Felt horrible! Ill never do that again. Went about 2 miles round trip and never broke 30 MPH. Still, most unenjoyable ride ever.

I have to say I'm guilty. Since they did away with the helmet law in MI. I have jumped on my bike and went into town about a mile away to pick some things up and go back home without a helmet. I would be lying if I said it didn't feel good.

When i first got on here i only had a halmet, but since i have picked up kev pants, jacket, and gloves. And oddly feel much more comfortable in gear than w/out. Just my $.02

I usually try to wear full gear EXCEPT in summer time. I dont ride too much this time of year but when I do I just wear jeans and t shirt with helmet and gloves. 117 degrees is too hot for a jacket.

I just started riding this year, and I feel naked without gear. I took a basic riding course so I got used to wearing it and now won't ride without it. I wear gloves, armored jacket, helmet boots and riding jeans with kevlar knees and seat. Here in Harley land I see just about everything, guys not wearing helmets, no jackets, shorts, no shirt. I do see alot of women on the back of fully dressed harleys wearing tank tops and jeans or shorts. I did see a very attractive woman on a harley on my way to work, high boots, shorts and a tank top. Hope she doesn't dump it. I was stopped at a light today and a guy riding a cbr no helmet no gloves safety glasses that was it. I don't get it. One of the most memorable things I saw during the 100th harley insanity, a woman was stuck in a traffic jam on the back of a harley wearing short shorts, tank top and flip flops. I thought to myself she trusts her boyfriend with her life and her skin.

I do not ride without my Lid, Jacket, Vest, and gloves. I need to get some new boots and get better about wearing my overpants

I will admit when I first started riding I didn't wear a helmet all the time and rode in shorts. Now I wear helmet gloves pants and tshirt if I'm not going out to ride hard if I know I'm going to be acting foolish I wear my jacket. But I always carry a backpack with my jacket. I should wear my jacket all the time but it is just to damn hot most of the time

It depends on the weather and where I am going, if its hot(not very often) and I,m just going into town then its t shirt, sometime shorts or jeans.
If I'm going any distance its full leathers, have to wear a helmet by law.
As most people who only wear no riding gear occasionally, will tell you that you know you are vulnerable so you ride accordingly.

I see motherfuckers riding sportbikes without any gear at all every damn day here in Voronezh. I assume people justify it because it's "hot outside" or some shit... I'm personally scared to ride at all on our roads given the amount of dumb fuck drivers we have, but these guys are apparently far braver than I, because they're ready to do battle with all manner of four-wheeled assholes on the road (bus drivers that just don't give a fuck, douchebag "street racers", plain old drunk drivers) without even a skid lid and in a t-shirt and shorts.

Seen girls without helmets on the back of a sportbike where the driver WAS wearing a helmet, no chivalry amongst that crowd I guess. I don't think I've ever seen a passenger wearing full gear on a bike in my life, at most it's a helmet.

helmet and gloves dont count for "gear".... just sayin.

I ran to town today, helmet, gloves boots, shift avenger jacket and.....shorts...a bee went up my shorts and stung me in the ass!....yow!!!
