I found my 240 rear tire!!

Does anyone know the spread pattern of the Triumph SSSA Drive Dowel? I am looking to replace these with wheel studs so I can run a car wheel on mine. I am not currently at home so I can't measure my own.

Also, what is the backspacing that I will need for the wheel?

uh.... i THINK it's the same as a honda (4x100), but don't quote me. i don't have a triumph hub here to measure at the moment.

have no clue on the backspacing. the only time i've ever put a car rim on a SSS was a 20" wire spoke wheel, and we just have to offset the hell out of the swingarm (the WHOLE arm)to center the wheel in the bike.

guess i'm not much help, now that i think about it, dee dee dee

dang I hit send too soon, LOL

They do have a spline, but they still have the same setup behind there to drive the wheel. The only difference is that Triumph have metal dowels that drive the wheel where Honda has lug nut style to drive the wheel.

I do believe you are right on the measurement, but I would like to be sure. As well as the backspacing. Thanks for the help though!

I may just have to wait til I get home and do it myself:D

Yeah man, pop it apart and let us know. I've been thinking of doing the same thing. Also, could you measure the length of the arm for me?

Measure from the pivot to the axel and also the width of the pivot inside the frame. I'd appreciate it.

BTW, the honda hub fits in the triumph.

You got it man, I'll do just that.

That is good info to know!!

I am just wondering how the hell are you gonna line up the sprockets and shit with the offset you are going to need to get a 240 on there? I have a Honda VFR 800 swinger on my CBR929, and I just put a 17 x 7 car rim on the back, and there is no more room to go any wider!!! Just want to know.
