So this is my 1980 yamaha xs850. I bought as is in the first picture. This is some stuff I plan on doing. Monoshock, r1 seat section, r1/r6 front end, relocating battery.

Well I just bought these, less than a minute ago off ebay. They are from an 06 r1. The only thing that I need are new levers (im guna get some used vet levers). Now I have to figure out on how to fit these forks, I really want to keep my stock wheel, anyone have any ideas on keeping? They'll come either the 5 or 6 I'll have more pics when they come. Here they are. Tell me what you think!

Not too hard,if you have a friendly machinist or can do it yourself. The R1 spindle will be bigger so either you need a bearing swap or a custom made spindle. Then you will need the correct diameter discs for that year R1 and some adaptors turning up to fit them to your wheel (being as its radial moving the calipers to suit your discs would be bloody dfficult if not impossible). Oh,and a stem swap for your headstock. ;)
