So I bought a 2006 Yamaha FZ1 for two hoots of a ragman's trumpet - a Cat C that lost it's fairing (no big sacrifice there then..) and now has the shield-shaped headlight fitted from the naked. It's real clean with only 25k on the motor - sounds nice and whiney!

Figured out a link pipe and another SC can - maybe cut the link and shape it so the whole gig kicks up a bit (?), all held together with springs..

The subframe looks like an easy modification - yet to decide on a tail (Maybe new gen R6 with the aerofoils kept in place..Yan! :)

As for the rest, we'll play it by ear..as they say.

Decided on a retro tail vibe again - XJ550 Seca...not a ton of miles away from the look of the CB900F unit. Short and squat will be the language once again..

Standard subframe chopped with trellis detail - a bridge would be on the end..

Then there's the Multistrada subframe , comes in two bits - L & R. Interesting shapely exotica. Might work?

Honda 650 Transalp belly pan/sump guard - could be a number board 6 projector headlight unit - cut n sculpted into 2 vented detail side panels (meshed) - cut n sculpted into cool vented radiator cowling (meshed) - or what it was intended for, but meshed...(?)

couple of rough rear end mockups

(bit like a Monster)

XJ550 stylee

Thoughts?

Looking good! Other than the slip on exhaust, what performance mods (if any) have been done or are planned? . . .
I'm also digging the shiny rim strips. Is that an add on sticker or did the PO shine up just that part of the wheel?
