right , more stuff.

set the jig at 700mm, checking with the digital angle finder that both spindles were parrallel

took the fabricated front part outa the bike and clamped it up , i'll tack a temp piece of bar on it to secure it

then put the full hub assembly in place to get some sizes

the hub assembly then taken out and put in the wheel to see if the tube could run straight

not quite

it would have been nice to have the jig big enough to put the wheel in but i have to store it in a small shed , if doing another ssa i might make fittings so i can , but for now i'll make a pair of fittings that replicate the wheel and sprocket , put them on the jig and fit the tubes about them

as it sits now the front and back sections are in place and ready to be joined

then mounted it on the jig along with a cardboard cutout wheel

then bend and tacked up a couple of tubes

which fit in here

needs a bit more fitting before welding tho

said the actress to the bishop

for the first time in about .................what is it dave ....? 11 month ?

it's on two wheels

it still needs a lot of bracing and its a pretty shit picture , but its 22.45, its dark ,pissing with rain and the shed is full so i hope it'll do for now

i'm pretty pleased so far

another bit done started tacking in the bracing

what do we think ?

it still needs more tube between arm and brace , but that'll wait till the chain is on

i'll take the arm out , jig it up and weld tomorrow

wee update here , while the arm was finished months ago, the bike in question had stalled slightly , enough is enough tho

the arm is in , all spaced up , the rear hub is all finished , caliper mounted, sprocket on , temp chain on , front sprocket made , outrigger plate mate , slave cylinder mounted and i'll have the wheel back on as soon as i fit the torque arm
