I've been lurking around on here for about a week. I'm purchasing a 97 GSXR600 in about a week and this will be my first fighter. I'm not new to motorcycles. I've been without a bike for about a year now. Sad huh. I've been riding for about 28 years and two of them roadracing. Sold the race bike and bought a cruiser. That was a mistake. Found my self trying to ride it like my race bike. Kind of boring and handled like shit. So spent the last year trying to figure out what my next project would be. I've always wanted to do a streetfighter for about 8 years now. Finally going to commit to it now. This site has alot of good info and peeps on here. Anyone on here is GA? Haven't seen to any fighters down here. As soon as I get the bike I'll post some pics and progress. This bike will be perfect as it is a race prepped bike.

Been thinking about 929 or fabbing something. I think the 929 tail is nice and small. Don't want to go too small or it will make the tank look huge. Been also thinking about acerbis ufo for the headlight. I think that would go nice with the 929 tail. As for color all black. Going to use that bedliner in a can. I've used this stuff before to paint a dash in a van. The stuff is real durable and blends very nice.

Already one step ahead. I've got a 929 race tail from hotbodies. Thanks though. Guess its a good thing I'm a pack rat. So hard to get rid of spare parts.
