I am selling the exhaust off the gixxer I have and trying to box it up to ship. I think it is just a slip-on. But I took the springs off and can not get the muffler apart from the mid pipe. Is there some thing I am missing?

pull hard.....if its just springs then thats all that holds it to the midpipe

Rocking the midpipe side to side is the only way to get it out sometimes, just depends on how long it has been on and how tight the fit was to begin with. I just had to wrestle with one for a few minutes today before it finally came out. :knucks:

Lay a towel over it and whack the towel with a rubber mallet. Works great for busting them loose.
