After a great tip from a friend I think I have located an engine for my Z1000, so the project will commence shortly. :rock: I have put the project on hold for so long now I forgot what I wanted to do with it... So I guess I get to start from scratch again... Any thoughts on how difficult it would be to convert to undertail exhaust?

I was going to suggest the same thing.

I checked hotboddies, but they only seem to do the super sports.

It might be possible to replace the subframe and other bitties with a CBR or GSX-R or something that has an undertail, then just try to lunk up the pipes.

Definately keep us updated.

Never seen a Z1000 with undertail exhaust, fabricating one isn't a huge deal though. Keep us up.

Thanks for the info guys...I like the looks of that Ixil a lot. Endo, I would let go of the right side for really cheap, but I am pretty sure it got banged up pretty bad. The bike is still sitting over at my old house, but I'll check it out tomorrow and let you know...
