I had a problem running no mirrors when I was on my way to work and went to bump over into the left lane and there was a cop there and his lights were on and he was leaning forward pointing for me to pull over... My boss who I had passed earlier said he had been behind me for a lil while

If I can remember to bring my camera with me...
I am finaly making noticable headway cleaning up the rear rim, the outsides were polished once. So it looks like all I have to do is clean the crap off and hit them with 2K sandpaper and the shine returns.
The paint is cleaning up very very nicely, once its wetsanded down it actually has a dul luster all on its own.
I have also started priming and painting the frame, looking good so far there too.
If I can find an old shoe box I will start making the bikini fairing also,
And hopefully start in on the wiring soon also

Well the build off is officially over, Ive submitted my last pics, offered up my spec sheet, and thanked those that assisted in some way or another.

Heres the pics incase you guys missed the build off....

Future plans now include, getting the angel eyes in these headlights to work (blew out the LED's)
This

Rear sets, front pegs, and a simple baffled slash cut exhaust right behind the peg.

So The next 2 things are already decided and parts are on the way, I have a keyless gas cap coming from TLS here, I know not realy worthy of a thread posting.

But I also have one half of my next BIG mod coming as well, a top triple.
No dirty bar conversion, and I may wait till I get a lower as well before doing this.
I have dreamt many a wet dream of some beefy triples for awhile now, but my pockets simply arent deep enough for them.
So in a vain attempt to be a cheap broke bastard that I am, Im going to use the 2nd set of triples to make mine appear big and beefy.
The upper triples will be modified with a hole through them for the speedo cable, and the current digital guage pack will be relocated directly ontop of the triple, the second will be cut down to fit directly under the funtional top triple and then either JB welded to smooth and give the appearance of a one piece deal between the clip ons and the 2 upper triples and of course painted black.

The lower I will simply hack the center mounting piece off, and mount it directly below the existing triple...maybe ontop havent decided yet. Eitehr way it will be smoothed and painted as well.

Here is a craptastic attempt at a Pshop of the lower tripleX2 = big and beefy mod.

We all love pics....

Also have some mirrors coming...

Not a whole lot of Posting here, but I got my parts in from TSL.
Gas cap is PERFECT love it, looks amazing on the bike. And yes I know the bike is DIRTY, it rained thursday on my way home from work, and we live in a dusty area so its a constant fight with the water spots and dust.

Now the triple on the otehr hand its perfectly fine, but I wont be able to use it after all. Apparently the ZX9's do have differnt fork tube diameters, maybe a 2 mm differance. Plus the contours and shapes are a bit differnt.

Well got to do some work today, daughter just up and brought me my key today for the bike... long story....

So I decided to see what all is needed on the subframe swap and tail swap to the 600RR.

First things first is the rear peg brackets,

So close, figure Ill just brill the hole out and put a nut on the backside of the retaining bolt. Other side will need a bit of dremel work.

Then I removed the stock subframe, LOVE the look without a seat, unfortunatly its not realy rideable like this.

And then figured out the mounting of the new subbie, Will only take a couple spacers and 2 little brackets to get it where I want it. Im just gunna use some pieces of angle iron for the brackets, and might end up just using hollow tube steel for the spacers.

Realy threse 2 problems with this swap, 1 is the 600rr front seat mounting is weird if one of you guys can post up a couple pics of the actual seat and its mounting Ill be very appreciative! Another problem is due to my lack of funds for a A123 battery, my current is like an inch taller than what a 600rr has. Shouldnt be TOO huge of an ordeal Ill just drop the battery mount an inch or so, and glass in the little spot it sits.

Now the bigger issue is the tail plastic, my frame is a light wider than a 600rr, so realy the only option I have is cutting the plastic, which I didnt WANT to do. But Ive got 2 ideas, one is cutting it so its basicly the pillion for a tail section, then painting the subby so it looks nice. Should look pretty decent if I opt to go that route, definatly be a one of a kind.

Another option is to trim back the insides of the tail plastic at the forward horns, and also cutting off the forward most point. This option I could keep the tail looking like a 600RR the most, and the triangles obviously need trimmed back quite a bit too.

Oh and I need to make a bracket for the gas tank bolt down, and also get a few bits for the rear seat latch, and a stock 05 rear seat. Im going to use what I have currently to make a cowl, be able to pop em on and off.
