Also, I hate you! I was totally planning on doing a Monster Seat on my Thundercat... Oh well. It's a great seat and gives that shorter look I was looking for and just came across earlier today. Oh yeah... and the wife can still ride.

Do you have a Rear Seat Latch yet? I just ordered a brand new one for $25 shipped on eBay. There are some cheaper ones on there too.

Same as zero's. Thundercat It's been the best commuting bike I've ever owned. My R6 ergos were terrible for long distance riding (for me).

I'm surprised you didn't go with a Monster Seat Lock off eBay. I picked one up for $30 (shipped) and I actually was planning on utilizing the existing seat lock brace (like you), but drilling new holes to match up and weld it in place.

I was also (like you) planning on using the existing top rail as pieces for the new subframe. Looks like you've got a lot of grinding & filing to do before you paint. Those HF welders will do the job, but they leave a mess! LOL

Good stuff. My helmet lock was broken when I got the bike, so I actually just broke it in with a screwdriver so I could use it. lol I'm gonna rig up some kind of mechanism to pull the new cable. I'm kind of considering just doing a hidden latch release I can just pull instead of using the key.

Hey bro! Looking great! I h ave a question though. Is your taillight crooked when viewed from the top? It may be my eyes, but it looks a little 'off'.

When I took the pic it was only loosely fitted just for a pic. But I did buy some rubber washers so if it is at all I can square it up later.

Dang bro, that sucks! I've had a few "uh oh" moments myself on the thundercat. Oh well, good to see you've got it sorted out. Waiting for new pics!
