O.K. the thing was invented in 1934 and I have never heard of it so excuse me for being excited. I went to the Long Beach IMS and they had a booth. (First event I have seen them at)

This tool is not gravity feed, does not need air, has a multitude of rollers you can buy for different thicknesses or double lines, and is extremely easy to use. It will not drip, will not change thickness if you slow down or speed up, and it's stupid simple to clean.

I highly recommend you try one for your projects. Kit was having a blast making flames on a piece of paper with it while I talked to the rep. We are going to buy "1 Shot" lettering paint for our kit. They rep explained it's the best choice for it's consistency and doesn't need clear coat.

Lacquer thinner or mineral spirits will clean off a messed up line in seconds and the lacquer thinner is all you need to clean it. The tool comes with a little brush to clean the roller. This thing is stupid simple and can make anyone a pinstriper.

And no, I am not selling this stuff. I was honestly that impressed with it. Been around for 80+ years. It can't be that bad. Right?

i learned about these in school. It gets the job done, but imo it takes alot of the talent out of it

Yes, but if you're talentless (Like Myself) The thing is Dope! You still have to come up with designs and details to tie in the whole "Look" of your striping work but if you just need to break up a 2-tone paint job this thing is perfect.

Looks like it really does the job. You could do like a tattoo. Draw a design then stripe over it.

the do make pinstripe stencils also, you just lay it on, spray some paint and then you are done.

what is the world coming to?

and dont call yourself talentless, you just arent to the level you want to be yet. I always said while learning autobody and stuff "if it was easy, everybody would do it"

Those auto brushes are cool but there is no way you can get all the characteristics of great stripers out of one... like tommy the greek, he did alot of feathered ends.

i would use this to train your muscles some but eventually try picking up a brush and see what you can do.

My issue isn't a steady hand as much as it is symmetry. I can't, for the life of me, duplicate a line. Anyway, I totally understand the artistry of a pinstriper, I had my Speed Triple striped by Zorac before I sold it. I loved the work. I just can't afford to pay someone everytime I decide to do the striping on a project. Too much cash out the window.
