Spede & Urkki are a former Finnish comedian and a former president of Finland. They've grown tired of their fishing trips and are looking for something else to do... like building a motorcyle. First thing, though, is to find a base bike.

This project was captured by a 16 person professional film crew and with their salaries and all the high end post production, there was only 2000 € left for the bike, purchase price included. So this will be a low budget build.

The metal looks thick enough for it to probably not be a problem but this adjustable bottom mount does look as sketchy as some of my own "engineering"!

Is it needed?

Hahah, funny episode, i was sat at my office desk laughing at the lock falling off after that tack weld and got some strange looks!

Must have been drunk this weekend, i didn't even notice there hadn't been a post! How did the racing go?

How did the racing go?
Weeeelllll.... Considering I only had about 3 laps of practice this whole year before the qualifying and the race (prepare for loser talk...) , I was quite satisfied with the weekend. I finished 9/10 and 8/9, but I was able to chase 5th place, so I wasn't a complete pushover. Also there was no snow whatsoever, unlike last year, so that was nice :D Next race is next sunday, so hopefully I'll do better.
Naturally I blame it all on the bike and I'm off to the dyno today in search for more power :D

Well, with a 4 rider team it's just 1½ hour/ rider, so no big deal :) But it's really good fun, the race really is a highlight of the year. There's actually a 6h moped endurance cup this year, but half of the tracks are part mx tracks, so we have no business there with 12" wheels, so we'll settle for 1 or 2 races.
