I always thought that body filler just sucked, and then I had the chance to try Rage Evercoat. It's expensive, but worth every penny. So easy to mix, spread, and sand. I tried going back to the stuff you can get at auto-parts stores and can't do it.

I finally had to resort to my palm sander. It worked pretty great. I have the filler primer sprayed on pretty thick. When it dries I will take the sander with some 320 and smooth everything out.

On a side note, I got the GSXR600 running. The idle screw was backed all the way out and the air filter was completely missing. On top of all that, all four plugs were shot. Once I replaced those this thing roared to life. Took it for a ride and I would call it running like a champ. So I think I will mention here that it is for sale

hey j, i dont know if this help ya next time or not but when i lay body filler, an its layed on thick let it stand for 5 mins to start to dry an use a medium grit wood grader. it knocks down 90% of the usually wasted filler from sanding.. this makes sanding to desired surface much faster an onto priming.. so any bondo will work. not to discredit your comment mike

Got done more work done but nothing note worthy. Back brakes are bled. Battery is hooked up and got the first coat of paint on the tank. I also noticed my shift shaft seal is leaking so I ordered a new one. Fortunately I can replace it without splitting the cases

I have power! Hooked up the electrical and turned the key. Wham blinkers work brake light works but no head light. I will get it sorted. It's probably a ground issue. I still have to hook all my gauges up but I'm that much closer

I got the gauges hooked up today. I still need to hook everything up for the indicators and speed sensor and what not for the speedo.

I have to get a LED for the temp gauge, but I can almost hear that I4 run! But still no power to the headlight.

Not yet. I left my meter at work. I've got power to the blinkers and horn so I would assume that I have power at the light but we know what assume means. Hopefully the light isn't blown
