Re: 06 Kat-a-tuna

Man, forget everything else for now, food, women, booze (well maybe not booze) just get that headlight done, I really wanna see what it'll look like.

Re: 06 Kat-a-tuna

@mr_aj_johnson, the wiring diagram came from cyclepedia.com, an online site that has manuals for just about every bike. I'm either going to relocate the pods with radiator hose, or actual metal tubing, I have no idea what it'll run like since i'll be out of the country in a few weeks for work, and doubt i'll have it running by then.

@fotocycle, i'm trying to keep the projectors at about a 2.25" diamter, to fit through the airbox holes. some cars are too large, also i really don't have the ambition to go HID, which i did notice most cars are. plus the f'n bulbs for the HID projectors are ~$100. I'll call the local scrapyard to see what they got.

thanks for the comments, also gonna tuck a new gauge cluster in the top of it too, when I can afford that.

Re: 06 Kat-a-tuna

Thanks for the info. I was actually at wal mart, grabbing a set of cheapo fog lights for the subaru and ended up getting some round fogs for 14 bucks that might work for what your doing. (at least for low beams maybe) I have my airbox off right now I will poke them through the hole and take a pic for you. Hopefully tonight. ( I need to take pics of the bike anyway)
Really excited to see how this turns out, I hate the ascerbis light I have.

Re: 06 Kat-a-tuna

that headlight idea earned you a subscribed thread, please do not let me down good sir.

Re: 06 Kat-a-tuna

sorry these took so long. But these are the cheapos I had in the shed.
I think that this idea could go somewhere

yeah i might end up using that reflector style halogen for the outside lights, since the projectors have a depth of about 4-inches, and don't know if they'll fit. waiting on a deadbeat ebay seller, who hasn't shipped the mask i bought last week. i've got some bids in on other car projectors.

dunno about a wider tire, i'll look into a wider tire if i can do it without swapping anything but the tire.

and as always thanks all for the compliments

Re: 06 Kat-a-tuna

Its already been said a bunch but your headlight idea is very fucking cool and original at that. Id love to see how 4 projectors light up the road that on a bike. Any progress?

Fookin spooky mate ,der ya know about Noahs Ark?TheyAll went on in pairs !
you calling us gay? ;)

any who finally dw on the bike, not much but some. temporary fix to the intake/air filter problemo and got lights in for the headlight, no projectors though because i couldn't find any i was happy with. though the two center driving lights aren't as bright as i'd like so i may go bigger in the future.

there are clearance issues with the lights in the headlight. waiting on the exhaust i want to come back into stock. a delkevic 8" carbon fiber can. slow going lately, since my major focus is a bathroom install.
