Can't wait to see that cam cover on there! That should look bad ass.
Really thinking of doing the same to mine....DW man!

Just a thought, but if you bought a Buell you'd have a sportster motor with more power that corners and stops. :LolLolLolLol:

Isn't that why Harley fired Eric? Hersey!

Yeah but buells don't have forward controls and 1-1/2" T Bars. And thats like saying instead of building that 600 bandit with a gsxr 1100 motor go buy a gsxr. . . That's what this whole forum is about. Plus this sportster will blow the doors off most 1000cc water cooled bikes. (Example: FZR 1000, bandit 1200)

Nice, I did the olive drab!

What's the bar the is down and around the rear right shock in one of the pictures? Some weird rear pass foot thing or what?

Post 16, pic 4. Upon further inspection, I think It's a saddle bag mount.

Ok I started taking the harley apart last night. But didn't take any pics yet head light is off, bars and top tree too. The holes for the risers in the TL tree needs a bit widening the harley risers are 88mm wide and the ones in the tree are 85 plus i need to size them to a 1/2" (12.7mm) to fit the riser bolts so its looking good so far. Tonight the bearings come out and hopefully the new ones with forks go in. Instead if swapping stems i bought bearings to fit the harley neck and use the TL stem.

A bit far off but next year winter project will be a swingarm swap, either buell or FZS (1st gen FZ) 1000 swingarm so I can get the 17x5.5" wheel in there or say fook it and lace up a 3 x16 spoke wheel I have laying around for the front. I am unsure because I would like like to use a sport profile tire and stick with a 17" front and rear but at the same time use spoke wheels for the old school look.
